  The APAOG 2022 Virtual Conference was held on April 29-30, 2022. Conference session recordings are now available.   Overview:

  This activity will focus on the practical approaches needed to practice in gynecology. We provide tangible information to help guide PAs in the clinical assessment and management process. Topics include conditions related to breast and genital organs across the lifespan. Additionally, professional issues relevant to the OBGYN PA will be addressed. Schedule available here.

  Program

  The Genitopelvic Pain Course will involve 6 two-hour monthly virtual webinars spanning from August 2022 to February 2023, followed by an in-person instructional session at the 2023 ISSWSH Annual Meeting in St Louis, MO (separate registration) in March 2023. In this innovative virtual course, practitioners will learn how to confidently diagnose and treat the many causes of pelvic pain. Sessions are organized by presenting symptoms, opening with “The Tools” and then progressing to symptoms and conditions of the vulvar vestibule, the clitoris, the bladder and urethra, the vulva, and the pelvis. Engaging experts in the field of Female Sexual Medicine will break down specialized topics, including Provoked Vestibulodynia (PVD), Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM), vulvar dermatoses, Bladder Pain Syndrome (BPS), pudendal neuralgia, and Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD).

  Course Learning Objectives

  1. Perform a thorough evaluation of a patient with genitopelvic pain.
  2. Evaluate different forms of genitopelvic pain based upon presentation.
  3. Develop a diagnosis and treatment plan for multiple presentations of genitopelvic pain.

• AAPA’s 2022 Leadership and Advocacy Summit

  Join your PA and PA student colleagues in the nation’s capital for AAPA’s premier Leadership and Advocacy Summit (LAS), Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, 2022.

  The summit kicks off with a full day dedicated to federal advocacy and afternoon visits with legislators on Capitol Hill (pending the full reopening of the Capitol complex to visitors). The remainder of LAS includes sessions focused on key developments facing the profession, association management, leadership best practices, and advocacy skill-building.

  LAS provides a fantastic opportunity for PAs to network, meet old friends and new leaders, exchange ideas, and enjoy the Washington, D.C. area.
