Welcome to the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology (APAOG) website!

APAOG was founded in 1991 and is the only professional association devoted exclusively to PAs practicing in women's health. We are a recognized specialty organization of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).

We hope to be a resource to you on PA practice issues such as reimbursement, privileges, CME, post graduate education, legislative and regulatory changes, etc.

Mission Statement

The mission of APAOG is to improve the health care of women by supporting physician/PA teams who provide cost effective, quality care to female patients and by promoting a network of communication and education between providers dedicated to women's health.

The Baylor College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program is conducting a survey on evaluating perceptions regarding human papillomavirus (HPV), cervical cancer and the HPV vaccination. Highlights and accomplishments from the past year...

  • Hosted our 3rd annual National Women's Health Conference
  • Finished runner-up in AAPA Constituent Organization Award
  • Established message board for APAOG members on our website to discuss clinical and professional issues
  • Distributed Menopause Supplement with the Monitor
  • Maintained monthly women's health news headlines
  • Exhibited at American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' (ACOG) Annual Clinical Meeting; currently have two PAs serving on ACOG committees
  • Joined Adult Women's Health Alliance Coalition and will be participating in their Women's Health Leadership Council
  • Participated in AAPA 5K with $500.00 donation to PA Foundation
  • Updated "OB/GYN PA" brochure, which can be downloaded from this website
  • APAOG renewal memberships can now be done online
